Additional Pension to Be Rounded Up to the Next Rupee – April 2015
What happens when additional pension for pensioners aged 80 and above works out to a fraction of a rupee? The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare clarified on 16 April 2015 that such amounts will be rounded off to the next higher rupee. Where pension was earlier fixed without rounding, it will now be rounded up going forward, though no arrears will be paid for the past period. Read the full order for details.
