High Court Sends Pension Cases Back to CAT – Union of India vs Kalyan Singh & Satpal Singh, December 2015

The Punjab & Haryana High Court, in its judgment of 18 December 2015, set aside two orders of the CAT Chandigarh Bench that had been passed in favour of pensioners, including Sh Satpal Singh and others, on the very first day of hearing. The Court held that the Government had not been given a fair chance to present its side and sent both cases back to the Tribunal for fresh hearing from 18 January 2016.
